Sir i just completed Part A of BPP study text and i already feel tired cause its totally detailed. Now I am planning to read OT lectures/notes and later the revision kit with all Acca articles and not Bpp text. But im doubtful if i will be able to pass it in first attempt with just these resources. Could u please advise me as there is less than a month left for the exam and Im not yet sure how to go about.
Thank you.November 3, 2018 at 8:52 am #483648A suitable approach depends on individual circumstances – are you “in audit” (i.e. the subject matter is familiar) or you can’t relate to it at all? If the latter perhaps you should take the pressure off yourself and defer to March. It also comes down to whether you are working full-time or can do effective study during the week as well as at weekends.
As you’ve decided you will not have time to prepare based on your current approach, you’ve nothing to lose by making more use of the OT resources – sessions and videos are short and there are quick practice tests at the end of each. You can always use the BPP text for reference if you need more detail/explanation. But you need to get cracking – as well as studying the entire syllabus you should be aiming to work through 8 exams’ worth of exam style and standard Qs (this is the minimum requirement for an approved text) including the Specimen exam and all the more recent published past exams.
November 3, 2018 at 11:00 am #483666Sir im very much familiar to audit. So im not new to it. Secondly i have holidays so im totally free. And the only problem is in deciding whether to study in BPP material or in OT notes. OT lectures are straightforward, but BPP is detailed and slightly confusing. So im not sure where i should study from. But Im just concerned if studying using OT resources and past papers is enough or not?
November 3, 2018 at 3:43 pm #483674As long as you have an Approved Revision Kit to work through and you attempt at least one mock and the most recent past exams (CBE versions if you’re sitting CBE), then yes, I believe we provide, for free, enough for students to be successful – see https://opentuition.com/topic/thankyou-3/
