Hello John,
Hope you are well and safe!
I was wondering how can we calculate learning rate from calculator as there is a chance that it may come in 2 marks question?
examples say r4=0.445833
Also, we will be provided with the scientific calculator right? (As I have normal casio calculator only)Thanks in advance 🙂
December 2, 2020 at 10:03 am #597362There is an on-screen scientific calculator with the exam – it is important to practice the CBE specimens on the ACCA website.
Taking a fourth root is easy – it is taking the square root twice.
If you want to take (for example) the third root of 8, then you press the keys in the following order:
‘3’, ‘2nd’ (the green button at the top left), ‘^’ , ‘8’, ‘enter’. The answer should then appear as ‘2’.
(many buttons have a symbol printed above the button. Pressing the green button first makes the button do whatever action is printed above the button.)
