Q: The times taken to produce each of the first four batches of a new product were as follows:
Batch number Time taken
1 100minutes
2 70minutes
3 62minutes
4 57 minutes
Based upon the above data, the rate of learning was closed to?
A 70%
B 72.25%
C 82 %
D 85%
Answer is D,but my answer is 75%
is it correct for 85%?Thank you.
The average time per batch if 4 are produced is (100 + 70 + 62 + 57) / 4 = 72.25
Therefore the learning rate = square root of 72.25/100 = 0.85 or 85%
I do suggest that you watch my free lectures on learning curves, where this is explained. The lectures are a complete free course for Paper F5 and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.
