Dear Sir, could you please help me with this question?

The learning curve effect in BBB Co could be extended by which of the following?
    A Increasing staff turnover
B Increasing the level of staff training
C Allowing extended breaks in production
D Introducing a new mechanised process

The correct answer is B. But I don’t understand the terms “extending the learning curve effect”, so I got the wrong answer. Could you please explain the terms and the reason why B is correct? Thank you!

Extending the effect means increasing the rate of learning.

A will decrease the learning effect (because new workers will have to start learning all over again); C will decrease the learning effect (because during extended breaks workers will forget what they have learned); introducing a new process will decrease the learning because workers will have to start learning how to use the new process.

B will increase the learning – the more training they get then the faster we would expect them to work.
