Dear tutor,
Can you take a look at question 3 – past exam dec 2013 and explain for me
Why do we need to calculate time taken to produce 8th batch for calculation of Nov?
Why can’t we use cumulative average time/batch in Oct (136.294 hrs) for calculating 8 batches in Nov ?
136.294 x 0.88 = 119.939 hrs?
Up until the end of October, every batch will get faster.
So every batch in November (when the learning has stopped) will take the same time as the very last batch in October.
If you watch my free lectures on learning curves you will see that I work through a very similar example.
Yes. Thank u so much
Can u explain for me what slack is and how to calculate it?
Watch the lecture on linear programming.. It’s too long a concept to type here
Thank you mjibola!
vuvietquang90: mjibola is correct – the free lectures explain what slack is, with examples.
(Also, please start a new thread when you are asking about a different topic)
