Hello sir! Im a little confused about the ruling for the steady state production. In bpp textbook, there’s an example Which says that the steady state reached after th 50th unit. The solution is given by subtracting the total cumuative time for the 51st and 50th unit. But my understanding says that 50th and 49th units should be used. Am i right?
May 10, 2016 at 5:09 pm #314453It is a bit unfair of BPP in the wording, but because it says a steady state is reached ‘after’ the 50th unit, then it really means that each later unit will take the same time as the 51st unit.
Normally however, in the exam it is made much clearer and it would usually be the time for the 50th unit which would be calculated as you have written.May 15, 2016 at 3:24 pm #315178Hi,,,,sir its my forth attempt.. I passed all fundamental except f5 …. I have done all past papers in every ettempt….. But failled…… I need ur technical guess topics…
May 15, 2016 at 4:01 pm #315185Sorry, but we no longer produce guesses as to what will be in the exam. There is no point now because the current format of the exam means that all topics will be examined.
I am sorry that you are having problems with this paper.
Have you watched our free lectures, which cover the entire syllabus?
Are you answering every question in Section A (even if some of them are just guesses).
Are you doing something (however little) for every part of every question in Section B?
Are you showing your workings for calculation parts in Section B neatly, so that the marker can follow them (because the marks are for the workings and not for the final answer).
Are you spending time practicing the written side of the exam, because only 50% of the exam is ever calculations – the rest is there to make sure you understand what you are doing and not just learning rules.May 15, 2016 at 4:48 pm #315192Thanks for reply……. In every attempt of f5 exam .i always face problem in calculations….. You know examiner test always a technical new question ,,,i always suffer in calculation….in the recent attempt dec2015 ..question number 2 was a target cost related question ,,it was technical and was new for me,, but i failed to attempt this properly……….. I haven’t have problem in Mcqs .. I have problem in sec B five questions…. I will be kind,,,, If u suggest the topics for sec B five questions…
May 16, 2016 at 8:01 am #315264Again, it is impossible these days to guess what will be asked. The five questions will come from the five main areas of the syllabus.
I am surprised that target costing was new for you – again, I do suggest that you watch our free lectures because they are a complete course and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.May 19, 2016 at 2:16 pm #315262I don’t have much problems in calculation but I lack in analysis power in my brain 🙁 that’s why I failed in march attempt where I managed only 47 🙁
