Hi guys, I’m pretty new to F4… In the BPP study text, there are so many cases! Which ones must I know? I know the exam format has changed so I’m not sure if this means that we have to learn all… which seems extremely impossible!
    Thanks very much!

Nikki, Victoria – don’t panic! With the change in the format of the F4 exam it is extremely unlikely that you are going to be asked to draw a parallel with one of these historical cases and reach a conclusion.

However, all of these cases quoted in any reputable study text and allow the cases in the free course notes on this site and all the cases I refer to in the course of the F4 law lectures …… establish / illustrate a point of law and those points of law could well be asked in a mcq

I’m perfectly happy to leave them in the course notes and in the lectures for two reasons. 1) they could be the background to the answer to a mcq and 2) they lighten the whole of the F4 law paper (many of these cases are just pure FUN!)

Ladies, don’t even begin to think about the enormity of the task of having to learn all that lot. We.re rapidly approaching the time when you should be beginning to read past exam questions and answers. Yes, I know that the format is changing, but you can learn a lot if the law by repetitive reading these past exam questions and answers.

It may be that the ACCA remove them from their website because they could mislead students into thinking that the format is the same as these past papers. I suggest that you download them so you have a copy of your own ready to hand

    Ok?
