On 31 March 20×1, an organization had 5400 employees. During the previous year, 750 had left the organization, although the management had decided that only 600 needed replacing and had recruited accordingly.
What was the labor turnover rate for the year to 31 match 20×1 ( to 2 decimal places)
Sol- employees at start of year = 5400+750 = 6150
But the solution says employees at start = 5400 + 750 – 600 = 5550
But why the replacements we’re reduced. At start of the year. It should be 6150 as the employees left during the year not at start of year.
Is it that the 600 employees we’re also recruited during the same year so the employees at start would be reduced by 600 ?
