    Hello sir,

    Though I passed F2 but just wondering whether my answer is right or not?
    Would you kindly help?

    Q: At the start of the year employee were 1600, during the year 860 were leaving and 260 employees are in replacement. So what would be the labor turnover rate?

    What I did was:

    start of the year :1600
    End of the year : (1600-860)= 740
    Average number of the employee = (1600+740)/2 = 1170

    Therefore, 260/1170 *100 = 22.22%

    Is it the correct answer or not?

    Not quite.

    If they started with 1,600 and 860 left but 260 were replaced, then it means that end of the year there were 1,000 (1,600 + 860 – 260) and therefore the average number of employees = (1600 + 1000) / 2 = 1,300

    Otherwise OK 🙂

    At the start of the year employee were 3200, during the year 1720 were leaving .At the end 2000employees are employed. So what would be the labor turnover rate?

    There are 1,200 fewer employees at the end of the year than there were at the start of the year.
    So 1,720 – 1,200 = 520 of those leaving were replaced.

    The average number of employees is (3,200 + 2,000) / 2 = 2,600

    So the turnover rate = 520 / 2,600 = 20%
