Hi guys
I am currently using BPP Basics Plus and have online access to my study text. There is an option to save individual chapters as PDFs and according to my internet research it is possible to upload PDF files onto a Kindle.
Can anyone please confirm if this is true and if anyone actually did this with their BPP book? Remember I am not talking about the Kindle version – it’s the online version saved to PDF.
I don’t actually have a Kindle but was going to buy one for Christmas. But if this saving as PDF and downloading onto Kindle method would work, I would buy the Kindle now. I spend 2 hours on public transport every day but am not able to carry my BPP book with me so it would really be brilliant if I could use a Kindle to study.
Thanks for your help.
October 7, 2011 at 12:01 pm #88553Hi there
I don’t own a Kindle (I have a Sony Reader) but I am sure that it is possible to convert PDFs to the Kindle format (mobi, I believe). You can find out how by Googling this. I use Calibre as my ebook manager as it handles most ereader formats (https://calibre-ebook.com) and you can get plugins to convert from one format to another.
You could also try contacting BPP themselves for suggestions about this.
Good luck!

I own a Kindle and yes you can convert the PDFs to the Kindle format and use it. You may may have to use it in landscape position but thats ok.
Hope that helps.

I got the Kindle and converted pdf into .mobi but was not happy with the result – all graphs, tables, fonts etc are gone. Also, it split some paragraphs right in the middle, which makes reading difficult.
However, uploading pdf documents without changing their format works fine. The print is small but readable when you use it in landscape position.
So thanks to Kindle I am now able to study on the bus without having to carry the book!
