I request you to explain as to how have the trends been calculated as I cannot remember the methodology of the previous papers.

I am absolutely NOT going to give you a personalised lesson on calculating simple ratios that you will have done from paper FA onwards.
I suggest that you look back at our notes on previous papers eg FA Chapter 26.
