    (Q) Which of the following statements regarding measurement of performance in not-forprofit organisations is/are true?

    (1) Output does not usually have a market value, and it is therefore more difficult to
    measure effectiveness.

    (2) Control over the performance can only be satisfactorily achieved by assessments of
    ‘value for money’.

    A) (1) only
    B) (2) only
    C) Neither (1) nor (2)
    D) Both (1) and (2)

Option B is the right answer.

    Hello tutor!!

There are also some measures by which performance can be controlled e.g. balanced scorecard and Fitzgerald and Moon measurement then why only VFM can satisfactorily achieved assessments ?

The question is about a not-for-profit organisation, whereas the Balanced Scorecard and Fitsgerald and Moon are are for profit making organisations.

Have you watched my free lectures on these?

So can we use Balanced scorecard and Fitsgerald and Moon for NFPO or these measurements are not for NFPO. Only VFM is for NFPO ?
One more question is can we use VFM for profit seeking organisations too ?

No. The balanced scorecard and Fitzgerald and Moon are not for NFPO’s.

    For NFPO’s we use VFM.

Again, have you watched my free lectures on these?
