I used BPP for both the text and revision book to support Open Tuition . The Revision kit is very good to cover all areas question wise and included alot of past questions ammended to suit current structure and lots of MCQs , the questions are segmented to match sequence of text book so makes it easy to split the course in segments.
I didn’t study the whole book nor did I intend to , I just used it as a reference text for practice questions / weak areas etc. It’s a big book but obviously covers everything!!
A work colleague has since advised that she finds the Kaplan text books better than BPP (not specifically for F8 but in general) as layout apparently easier and not as long winded as BPP so would be worth getting an opinion from someone who has used kaplan as I haven’t so far.

Using KIT’s it good but not as good as using the real exam!!

you may develop certain skills in one area eg in audit planning but the exam covers multiple areas so that the way the kits developed not as per the exam natur. i.e the knowledge you may develop is like a camel you have huge knowledge in one are but nothing in some other area because you dont have enough time to cover all as you did at the beginning.
