    CAN ANYONE HELP?

Not sure if I’m being thick but I attempted this question and am confused by answer for the EPS calculation on part d.

I understand the calculation for the current EPS = $0.84 BUT
if the rights issue option is chosen, wouldn’t the additional PBIT be $300,000 ($2m x 15%) and not $400,000 as stated in the answer.

My answer gave the same EPS before & after the issue

    Am I missing something?

    Hi,
I was doing this question today as well and just can’t get to the answer provided. I believe there must have been an error on Kaplan side, they must have taken 20% instead of 15%.
If anyone arrived to the Kaplan’s answer … please enlighten us!
    Thanks

Its definitely an error. just ignore it.
when you spot an error it means you know the stuff. 🙂
