Kaplan answers/Marking Scheme??

Kaplan f8 exam kit.

Are the answers given by the book in respect to a certain question the only way to score points. For example there is a question which asks you to describe the advantages and disadvantages of outsourcing and internal audit department. One adv. of outsourcing is that you don’t have the running costs of administarting an in-house department. I know this as the Kaplan complete texts outlines this. Yet for some reason its not included as an answer in the exam kit. I’ve come across many similar situations.

If in the marking scheme your answer is not present… is that it – no points even if it is correct. Or is the marking scheme sometimes a non exhaustive list?

Really need help on this as I’m studying from home and am having doubts as to whether I’m missing important tips that would be given in class.
