So I studied well and all but I made one mistake

I was extremely slow in Qn. 1. Like I took out time to understand what was happening and slowly going through the question instead of writing out points as they come along.

I took 2 hours in Qn. 1 and then rushed through the rest while meeting the final question with 30 minutes to spare. If I wouldnt have wasted so much time on Qn 1 then I would definitely be able to put in more and more quality points in Qn 2 and 3 but yeah I had to rush through it as fast as I can.

At least I managed to attempt the full 100 marks I guess. This is the first exam where I have gone wrong on the technique so I guess that sucks. Other than that though I’ve also never got less than 63 in any so that makes it better.

Also, really hope the marker can read my handwriting.

I just want to get done with ACCA now and move on with stuff. I’m only 19 and if I pass this I’ll have 3 more papers to go. I’m also already working at Crowe Horwath with a 3 year contract (if I manage to get through because I’m not really loving audit but I understand theres a lot to learn)

But like if I do finish the 3 years I know my CV is as good as it can get.

But honestly, I have so many more higher goals in life that this isnt even giving me satisfaction even if I do pass. I just want to get done with it and move on so I can start growing myself more to try and place myself better to try and genuinely change the world.

Any advise you can give me on being too impatient?

(I really still do hope I pass because I am kind of scared I wont but yeah oh well)

Thanks for letting me rant I guess. I needed to do that too haha

Try not to worry about today’s exam.

Part way through my training I decided that being a conventional accountant wasn’t for me, but I had invested time and effort in it and decided to complete the training. The qualification gives a great springboard and experience to go on to many different careers. I went into training and IT. I didn’t manage to change the world, but didn’t do much harm either!

    Thank you!

I like IT quite a bit so that isnt a bad idea. to try and combine IT and accounting.
