I received some emails about Access ACCA, no others.
July 24, 2015 at 2:53 pm #261704Hi everyone. Gabriel was missing me very much because I haven’t been participating in Results topic so here I am 🙂
I saw the fuss about dates on ERS status so just for information I have attempted P3 and P7. P5 to be attempted in future.
The date is 13th July – whether this means something or not I just calmly wait for results – take what is given and move on. I’m expecting the worst so I’m not stressed.
July 24, 2015 at 3:26 pm #261709With the pass rates as low as they are for option papers maybe it is more of a sign? Though I still cant quite believe the date on your report means anything… saying that why are they different at all?

Maybe the started uploading results on 8th through to 14th….?

Serious question – how would the examiner/person who does the data entry to upload results etc etc know that paper has enabled somebody to qualify?
July 24, 2015 at 3:49 pm #261720July 24, 2015 at 3:56 pm #261725Hey what about the change of password thing? Has anyone tried that yet?
Some old forums have it that if you get the password change reply from students@acca, you arent qualified but if the reply is from members@acca it means you’re done with the exams for good!Mind you, this is only for the finalists NOT for those who still have first attempt exams after the session’s result
Im too scared to try it out 😛

I am compelled to write about Elia-Sher-Ek assertion, as it is spreading a rumour based on intuition only keeping in view his moderator status in mind at the same time. The controversy he is referring to is about 28/29 Aug 2014. where some body thought that 28 omens well and 29 bodes misfortune. I am pasting a link below where in one user named makeroni had his ESR status frozen ,being a finalist ,on 28th and he failed.
https://opentuition.com/members/makaroni/forums/replies/
similarly there are quite some examples where users who had their status frozen on 29 were passed. You can find the proof in page 15 onwards in discussion on results in August 2014 thread in open tuition.
July 24, 2015 at 4:00 pm #261728I know Elia is taking a lot of stick here, but having just sat my finals for a 3rd time and been on here through the build up to results day before, he is only saying things that people were saying and believing in the past and I’m sure I’ve had an older date than others and failed… I still cant believe that its a sign though.
One thing for sure, dont believe what ever acca say, they’ve lied in the past about SVQ certificates in scotland being sent out early which showed you had passed your exam. They denied it was a mistake, but turned out it was.
I really dont believe them saying results only uploaded on the 1st, there is no way it dosent take at least a weeks prep to get peoples reports updated, accounts updated etc.

My question is only how anybody from ACCA would know that particular result means somebody has qualified? Would they fish through everybody ERS and their session papers to find they are now qualified and upload them first? If you sat two or more exams, would they be put together, marked together, then uploaded together?
Everyone is entitled to their opinion – I’m actually intrigued as to how ACCA do upload results and their methodology.

Well @David , As you see we are all in kindda labyrinth, there ain’t no straight path to the end so we can not give a definitive clue to demoralise our friends here the best we can look for hints that may indicate our pass/fail. I suppose that’s the best we can.
July 24, 2015 at 4:13 pm #261736Instead of speculating, has anyone tried the password change thing I mentioned earlier?
July 24, 2015 at 4:13 pm #261737I sat only one paper and mine does say 10th. Although this was not my last paper, I have one more left after this one. I don’t think people should be discouraged by the dates anyway! However I don’t think they upload the results on 1st August because in the last sittings the ERS reports were updated with the results the day before the results were due to come out so I got my results early last time.
July 24, 2015 at 4:14 pm #261738We have a lot of theories circulating at every results run up. Can we create a thread after the results have been received to address some of the same points that keep coming up?
For example post pass/fail alongside the date of the report/blanked out portal pages etc. It could be interesting to:
a) see if there are any connections
b) have one source of information to look back on in the future to stop people from panicking unnecesarily.
Might be handy for the site/mods to calm fellow students nerves. A couple have mentioned that they follow these occurances every session so would know exactly what ask about.
July 24, 2015 at 4:15 pm #261739I don’t know Rebecca, its makes no sense that my report said the 23rd yesterday and the 10th today. I defiantly think the results have been uploaded though, there’s a reason they don’t want you to see you up to date report
Every paper will just be marked per exam and fed back to acca via your student number, they’ll pull all the results together and I’d be upload based on region, name or student number… I cant believe they fish out people who passed and upload them first.
I would do anything to pass but I still doubt I got P4 there, still nice that a sign is in my favor this time as the signs have always been against me in the past and i have gone on to fail

@ali password change page route through oiddas, Since OIDDAS could also be used to check your profile they have inadvertently disabled it.

Maybe the people seeing the 10th, who only sat one exam, there result was loaded this day and as they awaited no further results – this is their date, regardless of pass or fail.
Maybe the people seeing the 13th, who sat two or more exams, they may have had their first exam result uploaded on the 10th – their second result may have been uploaded on the 13th, hence this is their date regardless of pass or fail.

What about 14th and 8th?

What about 14th and 8th?Same thing – person on the 8th may have sat one exam and this could have been the very first day they started uploading any of the results? Person on the 14th may have been one of the last batch of results to be uploaded?
There are many possibilities tbh.

I think you’re right, I think the date is probably the day the results were loaded
It probably bears no relevance to anything result wise. I would say the results were loaded alphabetically, but my surname begins with “S”, and mines 8th July, when I would expect it later. Its proably by student no

@Elia I am saying it doesn’t indicate as to a pass or a fail though. You and I both sat P7, my P7 result – along with yours – may have been uploaded on the 10th (regardless of pass or fail). However, I also sat P6 so my P6 result may have been uploaded on the 13th – hence my ‘date’ is this. I don’t believe it has anything to do with pass or fail. Although, surprised ACCA would upload/link them this early anyway.
