I think I’m right in saying the results are out on 1st of August? If so under a month to go and I’m suprised the chat on here hasn’t turned to guessing what marks we got and trying to spot ACCA leaks….
So yeah I’ll start, I sat p4 for the third time to finish ACCA and I really think I’ll be resitting in September which will kill me!
July 4, 2015 at 7:27 pm #259497Yes I’m waiting for my final results P6 tried to log in and said”No rows found” also received an email not from student @ acca , does this mean I have passed??? I cannot understand why it takes so long to mark the scripts??? I am seriously considering phoning ACCA to demand my results!!!!!

July 11, 2015 at 8:33 am #260526three weeks to results day. This time round open tuition is so quiet. Why? Are everyone confident about their results and not worried?
July 11, 2015 at 8:33 am #260527P4 was not good for me. P7 was also bad
July 11, 2015 at 9:04 am #260530Why is it always the case that whenever students feel the paper as very unreasonable and unfair, the professional colleges and teaching organisations always say that the paper was very fair? Why do they always support the ACCA? This sort of culture shouldn’t be entertained

July 11, 2015 at 9:31 am #260533I read the P4 comments on this website after 2nd of June and like 95% of the students were complaining. In fact the starter of this thread David, is also complaining about P4! How then can Kaplan say this “P4 was a tough and time pressured exam as should be expected by now (it was felt that question 3 could cause students particular problems with timing). The exam contained good balance across the syllabus with a fair mix of narrative and computational requirements. A well prepared student should be able to score enough marks to pass”
Becker says this “P4 was extremely time pressured in the case study due to the repetitive number crunching required (which tested little beyond paper F9 knowledge). Q2 mostly tested existing knowledge of ratios. Most of the calculations in Q3 were routine financial forecasting although the debt covenant had little logic. Q4 did test P4 knowledge but the scenario could have better structured. Overall – poor syllabus coverage did not allow well-prepared candidates to differentiate themselves. ”
As you can see two tuition providers are giving two totally opposing views. This makes me question the integrity of some of these tuition providers. Are they just unfairly supporting the ACCA examiners? I strongly disagree and invalidate the positive views expressed by these tuition providers as they have no solid basis. P7 was very time pressured (according to many) yet all tuition providers say it was a “fair paper”. C’mon! Seriously! I am just so angry right now
July 11, 2015 at 9:32 am #260534P7 is never fair. But our good friends are saying the questions were so nice! Don’t you think this is so dubious and totally outrageous?
July 11, 2015 at 9:41 pm #260570I’m waiting on P6. I really don’t know how it went for me, comparing with people on here after the exam it’s a mixed bag.
I’m not excited about the results or anxious. I’ve failed this exam twice now, if I fail again I’ll just resit.
Trouble is its so tiresome, so much time spent studying to the nth degree only to get an exam paper that focuses on the small areas, or mainly on a certain area of the syllabus predominantly like p6 in june did. I’m just sick of it now and want to see the back of it all.
If I pass I think I’ll be more happy from the relief of not having to study more than the fact I’m actually qualifed

I couldn’t have written that review of the P4 paper any better. I agree with it 100%. In 3 hours it was impossible to understand the scenarios and relate the information provided to the questions asked (far less actually calculate and write a coherent answer). Apart from Q1, all the other questions felt like they had zero logic.
My answers were filled with assumptions and caveats because I simply didn’t have time to wrangle through the tangled web of that P4 exam.

The exams must have been marked by now. I can’t stop thinking about this. The suspense is killing me.
By the way, ACCA won’t let me register for the exam I sat in June 2015. It says I’m ‘entered’ and I can’t select it for Sept/Dec 2015.
July 14, 2015 at 7:35 pm #260790I presume it says “entered” as we are currently awaiting results in the subject we entered in the exam session.I didn’t find any info on it though.
Could anyone enlighten us please

Yes the papers and results must have been processed also. If there is one thing I want in my life then that is, I just want ACCA to get out of my life. The misery it has given me has been unbearable.
July 15, 2015 at 9:02 am #260815June 2015 answers are available on the ACCA website now
July 15, 2015 at 1:08 pm #260834I am currently waiting for my P6 result and completely dreading it! Its so annoying that they have probably marked them and we have to wait for another 2.5 weeks. I tried my best but feel this wont be enough this time =( The paper was very tough and seems to be reflected in the tution providers comments.

After looking at the feedback on PQ magazine I feel like I was on the right lines with the answers so hoping for a pass. Its not long left now and I hope everyone receives good news. With P6 I think people found it difficult because it did focus on smaller topics and section B was tricky. Maybe the marking will be more lenient so don’t be discouraged as long as you tried your best.
July 17, 2015 at 10:43 am #260984No leaks this time around??? Or is it still too early for that?
July 17, 2015 at 6:08 pm #261000Waiting for results is stressing , I am now confused now both people who wrote p6 and p4 are complaining. I want to choice between p4 and p6 and I am in dilemma to choice an option that would be quick and easy to pass and convert to membership. Please can someone advise!
July 17, 2015 at 6:59 pm #261001P6 and P4 are final option papers, neither will be a quick and easy pass to membership
P4 is incredibly vast and complex, but focuses on a fairly rigid set of 4/5 key areas
P6 is vast, detailed, and is really a case of just remembering rules, but its the application element, you really have to know the rules inside out to provide the right advice

Hi
Does anyone know what leaks there have been in the past?
Also if you receive mail shots from tuition providers in the 2 week run up to results day, does that mean u have failed exam?July 20, 2015 at 7:53 pm #261175They leaked the results 24 hours early for the December results, acca posted the status reports the day before
There was some link floating about that took you to a page that showed your status as either student or affiliate. But they closed the link down last time.
There is also a link to a log in page for the affiliates to log in. People who passed their finals could log in and people who failed couldn’t, me being one of them.
Finally in Scotland you get an additional svq certificate when you complete acca exams. These certificates were emailed out before the exam results to those who passed. Again I didn’t get one so knew I had failed.
Sucks really but that’s the way of it. I’ve not heard of any leaks yet. Their definitely up loading results now though.
July 20, 2015 at 9:18 pm #261187Thanks carl29 ,,, but there must be an easy option to pick between P4 & P6 .
Can someone shed more light on the best option to take from these two!
Thanks in advance.

I’d definitely pick p6 adv tax. I Passed it 2nd time and would have got it 1st time if I’d just read the corp tax question correctly. It’s not an easy paper, but it has the highest pass rate of the options and I feel like the exam questions are quite clear with what they want, in that you have a tax situation and you just apply the knowledge.
P4 is terrible, I just sat for the 3rd time and certain I’ve failed again. I hate the paper but I do find it interesting. I just feel that the papers aren’t well written, it’s almost problem solve then apply knowledge under exam condition, it’s usually unclear what the question wants, it’s just a pile of info and you need to figure out what to do… I wish I could do i different paper but I hate audit and have no interest in performance management so stuck doing p4 over and over and over and over and over and over again
Picks p6
