Do I have enough time to prepare for F8? I haven’t started yet and neither have I attempted F7 which I’ve heard is supposedly better to do before F8

See here the article about exam progress https://opentuition.com/acca/plan-your-acca-exam-journey – it is good knowledge of FA that you need for AA – it can be confusing to do FR first because it includes topics not examinable in AA.

Whether you can prepare adequately in 7 weeks is entirely down to you – ACCA recommends 6 weeks even for resitters. See here https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/student/exam-support-resources/fundamentals-exams-study-resources/f8/planning-your-study1.html – you can download a study planner at point 5.

You may find this advice from a student helpful https://opentuition.com/topic/my-approach-towards-clearing-aa-with-85 (even if you’re not preparing to be a prize winner).

A large part of the AA syllabus is the audit of financial statements. You therefore need to be “all over” how transactions are recorded and, in particular, the “control mechanisms” (trial balance, control account reconciliations also suppliers’ statement reconciliations) that help to ensure that financial statements are complete and accurate. Also the “period end adjustments” (accruals, prepayments, depreciation/amortisation, inventory) which include the application of basic IFRSs (IAS 2, IAS 16, IAS 38) and the disclosure requirements of FA examinable documents (including IAS 10).

If you don’t “work in accounts” you should be prepared to refer back to these topics in FA notes https://opentuition.com/acca/fa to remind yourself of the assumed knowledge.
