Similar views to this. I thought the questions were quite generous and nothing too difficult but time pressure got to me and I had to rush too many parts in the end and abandon parts of question 1 and 2 before I was finished.
June 11, 2022 at 3:31 pm #658492usiness valuation – Theory ( MBI or to sale assets ) Calculation to know better option amongst it. – Dividend calculation. Assumption made while calculating. please share similar question for this exam
June 11, 2022 at 5:00 pm #658500this my first time doing CBE , my experience was bad, the environment was not helpful to focus in exam.. computers key prod make sounds while other students typing that make me nervous .
I lost my concertation so I shifted from Q1 to Q2.to change my mood.I suggest in next time provide headphone as options for students who interest to wear it during the exam to isolate themselves and minimize the noise .
the exam while you read requirements its lock easy, but when you start do it you don’t know how you do it and not know from where you start solve it .
June 12, 2022 at 4:10 pm #658556In relation to question 2 risk management Heddging currencyvreceipts
Rates were indirect right?
And the Money market hedge provided the highest return right?June 13, 2022 at 5:42 am #658591I run out of time so I had only 20 minutes for question 2. Now I’m not sure I got the right informations about exchange rate quoted. Was it TL$/ 1 EUR or EUR/ 1TL$? pls tell me it’s the first one 🙁
June 13, 2022 at 6:39 am #658595Yes I got money market as the highest amount too. Was it importer or exporter? (Deposit convert borrow) of (borrow convert deposit)?

Rates were indirect right?<br>And the Money market hedge provided the highest return right?June 13, 2022 at 7:50 am #658603Yes ,MMH for receipts will be borrow converted to receipt
First we receive cash from the foreign loan
Then convert amount at spot
Then Deposit in the home countryIn relation to presentation of the currency ,I remember that I was happy that all presented in one way the forward rates and the contract was also priced indirect
But need to check to confirm
June 13, 2022 at 11:05 am #658619It was all TL/ 1 EUR – I can’t seem to remember 100% whether it was paying TL 90,750,000 or receiving. I might have gotten it swapped (DCB) instead of (BCD) haha oh well.
Answers should all have been presented in Euro cuz we’re hedging against the TL$

June 13, 2022 at 12:25 pm #658631For the paper with the Dividend Capacity Question (1), could anyone tell me exactly what the two 12 mark questions where please?
I know Question 1 is for 50 marks but there were two parts worth 12 each within it and I can’t remember what they were.
Thanks!
June 14, 2022 at 8:46 am #658697I attempted No.1 full and No.2 . can this result into a pass even without full paper completion?hope i attain the 50% pass mark
June 14, 2022 at 11:59 am #658725Not sure but, there was an FCF calculation, and then you had to calculate the profits from the foreign subsidy and you had to find the dividend capacity. So all of that combined I’m guessing was for 12 marks.
June 14, 2022 at 4:12 pm #658737That 12 marker in Div Capacity was for dividend capacity including calculation of dividends remitted from the foreigh sub
Also another 12 Marker in question 1 was sale using NAV and FCFE methods
Anyone done NPV and VAR?
June 14, 2022 at 5:59 pm #658742It is DCB because the actual amount to borrow in euros is not known
June 14, 2022 at 11:32 pm #658756That’s maybe you’re referring to interest rate payments ,which is different variant exam
June 14, 2022 at 11:35 pm #658759Hope you will pass it
