74%, really happy but I failed APM with only 47%
Only one exam left now, I really wanted all this to be over.

It was my 1st Attempt. Was very SCARED. But Passed with 60%.
Didn’t even expect that I will pass.

(1) Make sure that you are at least 75% ok with ALL the Standards
(2) Don’t even think about skipping Standard. If so this will definitely affect your marks
(3) Don’t study the Big Standards too much. Give equality to all Standards. Since ACCA Paper Setters know that we’ll be studying the big standards too much, they’ll be asking Qs from a very small standard to about 10 to 12 marks. (Even I got a Qs from Government Grant which was around 10 marks I guess. But got a Qs on financial instruments also. But that was around 4 marks)
(4) Last but not least, During the last 3 days PLEASE DO NOT STUDY ANY ADDITIONAL TOPICS. Make sure during the last 3 days you just revise the subjects that you have already studied again and again. Why I am saying this is because you’ll really feel pressured during those days. So if your looking for something new then that will definitely affect your mental strength.

2nd attempt…Unexpected Result 44%…i complete almost all question with relevant IAS/IFRS standard…i was expecting 75%!!!
Took SBL and SBR (UK) in June and got 90% and 80% – can’t believe it! Was so nervous for SBR.
My advise for SBR would be to download the syllabus from the ACCA website. There’s about 30 IFRSs (/IASs) and spend some time going through each of these and learning what they’re trying to achieve and what the main rules within them are. You can google them.
I did this using flashcards and would then drill them over and over. It would take me maybe 2 hours to run through all of them. On top of that I had to do the UK rules too. It’s not the most fun but you do just need to know them inside out. As someone else said, they can and will test smaller IFRSs.
It’s also worth learning the main points of the discussion papers listed on the syllabus. In June there was only about 4 of these and they weren’t too tricky and having written a couple of notes on each would have been well equipped for a question if it had come up – would have had no idea otherwise.
