July 19, 2021 at 9:10 am #628614Passed first time with 76%.
July 19, 2021 at 9:40 am #628630Failed with 49% for the 2nd time. I have lost any respect to ACCA examiners. I was super prepared for this exam did all mocks over 70% and got shameful 49% I have no idea how to pass this exam anymore considering I never failed any exams. Don’t even bother to pay for admin review cos it doesn’t even tell you what went wrong. Devastated ?
July 19, 2021 at 9:40 am #628625Passed with 65% first time.
July 19, 2021 at 9:49 am #628633Hello everyone. My name is Fatima. I use to attend lectures for ACCA in 2018 but I stopped before I could write any paper. I’m ready to start over again. Can I study via lecture notes and videos on open tuition? And how do I ask for assists here
July 19, 2021 at 9:53 am #628635First attempt pass with 61%. I was expecting a failure, therefore, it was a really nice surprise!
July 19, 2021 at 10:10 am #628650Many Congratulations for passing this exam . i am preparing for it and i know this is not the easiest of papers to pass . Could you tell me from which syllabus area they asked the Section C questions from please ?
July 19, 2021 at 10:38 am #628668I failed at 49,my second sitting.
I believed that I had given my best till the very end, practiced kit questions, mock tests, etc.
I was hit hard by one of the section C question which was of CVP.
I just couldn’t attend that question.
So,I attempted paper of around 85 marks.
It’s quite disappointing to be on this side.July 19, 2021 at 11:07 am #628682Passed on the 5th attempt, this has been the only paper at skills level holding me back from progressing forward to professional level.
Had 49 on three of those attempt if i can remember. How crazy is that
July 19, 2021 at 11:48 am #628703Any tips for the exam?
July 19, 2021 at 11:48 am #628704Any tips for the exam?
July 19, 2021 at 12:17 pm #62872049, is painful. is there any chance of passing if i go for remark?
July 19, 2021 at 12:37 pm #628673I failed PM in December 2020 particular due to poor time management and limited efforts with revision (i scored 46%)and because of CoVID 19 I could not retake it in March ,which was actually a blessing in disguise (if I had retook it in March with the same approach ,I was sure to fail it dismally again) so I initiated a new strategy where I had a month to go through all OpenTuition notes and videos and Acowtancy notes ,after the month lapsed I started tackling the Section A and B questions from the BPP revision kit (I completed it in two weeks and them redo it in a week were my biggest concern was now time management) it was a success because by the exam date I could solve the Section A and B questions in 75-80 minutes combined ,which would leave me with 100 minutes to attempt the two Section C questions instead of the allotted 36 minutes each .It meant that I had 24 minutes extra to do each of the Section C questions.
So for the Section C revision, I started to attempt only Section C questions after I was done with the two other sets of questions and the greatest observation I made was how learn to express myself in a professional manner with the data that’s beforehand in an particular question.
The final two weeks were only just about getting the exam feeling and attempting the practice tests.
July 19, 2021 at 2:49 pm #628777failed with 49% really dont know what made me to fail to make that 1%
July 19, 2021 at 2:52 pm #628778First attempt and failed. I guess even after bringing to their attention that I was not permitted to use the onscreen calculator by the invigilator, was not enough. They did not even contact me about it.
July 19, 2021 at 3:39 pm #628774To the people who have asked for advice on how to pass this exam, I did English at university so I definitely don’t have a “numbers brain.”
My advice to pass this exam is as follows: start early. This syllabus isn’t as long as some others, but the content can often be quite tricky, like CVP analysis and learning curves. The amount of time you spend going over it will improve your understanding. I don’t think I understood some topics until I’d gone over them two or three times.
Question practice is so important for every exam, but particularly this one. Section C can be really time pressured in the exam so it’s best if you can go into it with an understanding of how to approach the questions to get maximum marks. BPP or Kaplan workbooks will have lots of questions. I studied with BPP but also made use of free resources like the wonderful OpenTuition. If I hadn’t done as many questions and mocks, I don’t think I would have passed. Application is trickier in this exam than most of the others I’ve taken.
Finally – use different resources! I had BPP online classes to teach me the main course, but found OpenTuition’s videos so useful as they broke down the topics into relevant sections. I made notes for myself and went over videos whenever I didn’t understand. There are also technical articles and YouTube videos on the ACCA website.
