July 19, 2021 at 5:08 pm #628809Congratulations to all those who scored above the bar in APM June 2021 Sitting. Please share your practical steps to success.
July 19, 2021 at 5:41 pm #628813Congratulations to all those who scaled the BAR. APM is not a joke. This is one paper that can trap you in many rounds if you are unlucky.
To those who scored 50(as weird as it sounds), my greatest joy is really for you.
To all who passed, please share your success tips.

July 19, 2021 at 7:00 pm #628829Can you please help me to pass
July 19, 2021 at 7:02 pm #628830I do not know how to answer the question and the flow of answering. I think there is a pattern or system to answer the questions. Most of them who does not have managerial qualification pass APM. Still I have a problem how do they easily pass.
July 19, 2021 at 7:17 pm #628831Do Kaplan or BPP exams kit questions thats how I passed
July 20, 2021 at 6:59 am #628864What is a good typing speed for these CBE exams? .Please can someone share about his/her typing speed and whether he/she passed APM.
July 20, 2021 at 9:30 am #62889550% on the dot! thanking God, I finally passed after so many attempts on this paper, I just want to encourage someone, please don’t loss hope or give up, keep going till it’s your time. My ACCA journey has finally come to an end, the relief!
July 20, 2021 at 9:33 am #628896just a normal typing speed, this time around i started with section B and once that was out of the way i was able to focus fully on question one 1 hour and half, previously i had spend way too much time on question one.
July 20, 2021 at 11:23 am #628903Passed first time with 50 after barely studying after a personal loss. Maybe submitting a mitigating circumstance helped as I didn’t want to postpone the exam. The exam felt pretty straightforward so I was expecting higher marks as I also passed PM with 74 a year before, but I’m relieved I can just move on to the last paper (AFM).
July 21, 2021 at 8:14 am #628971Hello,

MiraJuly 21, 2021 at 8:29 am #628974Wow, what tenacity! Thanks for the encouragement 🙂
July 21, 2021 at 2:42 pm #629014Really, where did you get the courage to come back and what did you do differently?
July 21, 2021 at 11:28 pm #629060Get to do the questions straight, take the practice kit and write answers to all the questions, mark them (be critical), take note and see where you went wrong when comparing to provided answers. That is the best way to learn and also to realise what you think is the answer vs what should be the answer. You will realise it is the requirement that is mostly misunderstood and after writing for 45 minutes as soon as you start marking the truth comes to surface that is requirement asks about A and in most cases students would write about B. It is painful and time consuming, but a eye opener and in most cases will explain why results are those not expected. I had the same problem and my solution was I gave up on text book instead only did the questions (writing them down and not only thinking in my head what I would write in exam sittings! )
More important to know is that is not the knowledge that is failing most students in this exam, it simply is the exam technique. As silly as it sounds, there are marks for non-sense points i.e. defining a module or jargon before applying it to a scenario, this may sound an obvious fact one would ignore in exam sitting and straight jump into application, but that little 2 sentence defining the BCG (as an example) makes the difference btw pass and fail. You can only learn that by making it a habit and actually writing it down when you practice (telling yourself, I will remember to define modules and Jargons in the exam won’t work, because you will forget to do that under exam pressure!).
My approach was, define (briefly) modules/jargons, use the question scenario to advise, recommend and evaluate (whatever is asked) and most importantly, explain why you do that. Best was to remember to rationalise your response is to use the word “because….”
That is what I have used in my last attempt and I have practice answers to all Kaplan questions, with my own marking and my own notes for each question after marking and comparison with provided answers to remind myself where I want wrong. For me many times it has been providing a answer to question never asked and missing out in simple silly things examiner awards marks to (i.e. definition etc). It is painful and takes good 2 months, but it will be helpful during exam and helped me pass with 59 this time around and now a member.
One thing you must never do is to give up! you are not alone on this journey, 70% of students attempting the exam fail, get up, shake off the sorrow and tell yourself, you will try again and this time you will learn from your past and have a different strategy to attack the exam. Remember you know the material, you only need to learn how to present them so it gains all the possible marks. Practice that now and don’t wait to go into full study mode 1 month before exam! that will be too late!
try that and keep reminding yourself that you know this and you will do it! Good luck to you and all those in same boat as you (I was there too! )
Cheers
