Passed first time with 73%, absolutely buzzing, never want to look at another AA question again! Used the BPP book and exam kit and augmented with OT lectures and notes. Thanks so much to the OT team!

Exam questions, exam questions, exam questions. Practising these is key to passing the exam. The actual AA content isn’t that difficult, but the examiners want a very specific answer, so read the solutions in the revision kit carefully and try and mimic them as much as possible. There is a good section in the ACCA website where examiners go over exam questions and sample answers and discuss where they awarded points and what scored zero. This was a real eye opener for me and I think helped me hone my answers to what they wanted. They don’t want a load of waffle and can spot it a mile off and will score zero for filler

pass AA on 70% in first attempt, hard work pays off.
I found CRs very easy as compared to past exams.adam.sheehan wrote:Hi YK2017 – get the BPP revision text book. AA is about learning to answer the questions allot more than learning the content. There is a very particular way to identify the issues and answer the questions. Also note the part B’s and C’s of the risk and control question are important marks.

PS. DO NOT USE THE WORD CHECK while advising on audit assertions. Instead use words like verify, confirm and etc..Don’t be upset i passed AA in march 2021 i will surely provide some guidence that can help you to success you can give your email adress so i can contact you
Hi Don’t be sad, AA is just the hardest among all F5 to F9, and the pass rate is quite low (only 39%).
Passed with 60% in my first attempt….. Thank you OpenTution for your guidance and support.
