    Hi,

I have failed the audit exam 4 times (45, 48,47 and 45) but haven’t taken it since March 2016.

I just wanted to know about the specific syllabus changes since then?

Also, I am not planning to attend a revision course, but would it be worthwhile doing a exam practice course?

    Thanks,

    Faze

I don’t remember any specific syllabus changes of note. However, I don’t know when your study material was for. Note that the format and content of audit reports have changed radically recently as have the groupings of assertions.

If your material shows an audit report starting with the audit opinion it is up to date. If the audit opinion occurs halfway through the report you have old material. With regard to assertions these are now split into only two groupings: those relating year end balances and those relating to transactions and events.

Yes, an exam practice course would be very worthwhile. After 4 attempts you presumably know the factual material and not need help and practice on your question/answer techniques.

Than you for your reply. I have the notes from March 2016. However, I have purchased an updated practice and region kit. So just to clarify the actual syllabus hasn’t changed since March 2016 apart from the audit report.

Also which lectures would I need to watch for the format and content of audit reports and the groupings of assertions?

    Thanks
