This scenario consist of 2 para. I can’t guess the meaning of first para.. Could you please rephrase the first para.

I do not know what “meaning” you are looking for – it just setting the scene – that Adder is renting out storage space. We could infer from the fact that “Adder’s employees rarely enter the customers’ storage areas.” that Adder has little idea what is being stored by the customers. This is then confirmed by the 2nd para.
