Wao, soo many insults going on; its just a sign of nervousness. Guys, chill out. As at now its a done deal so let predicts our scores to release some tension and stress and i’ll be the first to predict:
P7 65%
Four more to go (P1, P2, P3 and P4)
August 7, 2013 at 2:11 am #135219Hi guys,
For some of you who thought were doing well in June’13 exams, please continue to hold this belief that you have cleared the papers. ACCA as a professional body has to be upfront and should not be dropping hints to final paper candidates by giving different ‘ signs ‘ on whether they pass or fail. Don’t you agree ?
August 7, 2013 at 2:45 am #135220Me: Finalist: No homepage change, same yellow black; June ’13 entry and docket
Friend: Non-finalist: Homepage change, no navigation menu appearing, no links to exam entry or exam results
Therefore, can’t really predict at all what is happening and yes I’m sure his navigation menu is blank.
I hope and pray for all those who actually worked hard pass the exams including me.
August 7, 2013 at 8:34 am #135229On my homepage, my business address and home address was same since beginning, now ACCA wants to update the home addres. Giving a message in the box to update the home address, dont know why.
Situation no rows found in exam entry, msg from members@accaglobal.com.
Pray that everybody passes.

August 7, 2013 at 9:25 am #135234I wish I had taken the day off duty…I can’t concentrate on anything. Am wishing all you the best of luck and for those who will not make it…aluta continua….
August 7, 2013 at 9:44 am #135235Hi guys,
I also wish everyone all the best for their results. While everyone is still anxiously waiting for the next 15 to 20 hours for the big day, can we share our thoughts here on the 4 optional papers such as which one is the angel or a beast . While still hoping for the best, we have to prepare for the worst as well so that we can place the best bet in the next attempt.
P4 – a beast
P5 – heard feedback that it seems like P3 but examination is tough
P6 – depends on country variant, not as bad as P4 or P5 but difficult to score – consider as angel
P7 – heard feedback that this is a beast alsoAugust 7, 2013 at 10:08 am #135236@tyc7700
i was doing P5 and P6, i don’t have a result so can’t really vote for angels and beasts, but:
I took P5 because i loved F5 (my favourite paper) but I hated every single minute of revising P5, it was like doing P1+P3+F5+F9 all togheter. i spent so much time on it so i’ll be really p…ed off if i fail it. questions were vogue and it was hard to guess what theory the examiner is acctually asking for.
P6 – wasa good. i wish i had more time for it (which i hadn’t cos i was revising the stupid p5 and p2 at the same time) and i could do it better, but i really enjoyed it. if i had to fail any of my exams i’d rather to P6 than P5 again.August 7, 2013 at 10:34 am #135237P4 was definately a beast
I am still astounded at the difference in expectation from the ACCA in papers P1 to P3, then what was required in P4. I have read all the usual reviews stating ‘ a prepared student could have managed the paper’ – when we are talking about the last papers of the qualification, does the ACCA not think that students, by now, know what to expect from exams? I am pretty sure at this stage, Students are more prepared than they have ever been
I am really put out by P4, i worked so hard for it, and know it will be a fail tommorrow
August 7, 2013 at 11:00 am #135239I do believe I am resigned to doing P7 again now (for the 4th time!).
My page, all week has been the white page (and emails from students) – but has now reverted back to the original (switched back this morning) and it opens my June docket (sad now!)
Can I pick myself up again though?
P7 is horrific. I have the knowledge (I had an admin review done on the second when I got 46%) and passed all questions except Q1 (which when reviewing the answers realised I had mis-read part of the question).
I have studied every way possible – text books, courses, revision courses, practice papers, mind maps – so really don’t know what else to do if tomorrow proceeds as expected now.
August 7, 2013 at 11:03 am #135240I sat for final paper P6 in June’13 (Singapore variant). I thought i should be doing well but after looking at the statistics of past few sittings , the top score was only between 64 to 66 marks. This has made me rather worried.
After hearing comments from carl29 and kaha, it seems that P4 and P5 are really horrible papers. I wonder whether i should be doing P5 if i fail this round or stick to P6.

Hi, is P7 your final paper ? What is the other option paper you took ?
August 7, 2013 at 11:12 am #135242@tyc7700 just wait for official results before you decide anything… what if you have passed???
I did P5 and P6 June 2013 after having failed both in Dec 2012.. they are the only two papers remaining. I felt i did better compared to last time but i havent gotten any ‘sign’ of a pass… i’ll just wait for tomorrow.Take heart even if things dont turn out so well…. Dec 2013 is another chance
August 7, 2013 at 11:14 am #135243@tyc7700
i was doing UK version. i started however dealing with singaporian personal taxes and struggle to understand the diffrent CPF rates for foreing employees etc, they are so not logical for me, so i can believe pass marks on P6 in Singapore are quite poor..
and it is always a personal preference. i always rather count than write a long esseys, that’s why i prefered P6 than any other optional papers. pass rates are the last thing i’m looking at.August 7, 2013 at 11:15 am #135244 @tyc7700 said:

Hope is not lost yet…you still got a few hours to know your fate. But I would rather stick to a paper i tried last time(P5) than jump into another paper which always requires previous other papers knowledge. All the best though.

Hey I am in the same boat, I just done P6 and P7 my second attempts after marginal fail in december, thought the exams went well until I came across this thread yesterday.
My ACCA page is same as yours and now I got a bad feeling, I hope all this was a speculation rather than truth.
In december I walked out of P7 feeling good and got 47, got out of P6 like a disaster and got 42 so I am assuming if I have failed, I bet my house on P7. What a horrible paper.
Good luck everyone.

I passed F8 first time as well, with 60% so didn’t think I would have an issue with P7.
So yes P7 is final 🙂

It’s all the speculation that is so mind-crushing isn’t it 🙁
In June I came out of the exam feeling confident (except on one of the additional questions – but that was only 15 marks (I still answered it) – but I agree P7 is very difficult.
good luck to you

Hi, i took P5 3 times previously and then switched to P6. I took P7 and passed in my first attempt. You are a victim for P7 while i am a victim of P5. I thought P5 was easy but exam questions looked weird and tough. I still don’t believe in those ‘signs’ and hope every one here on this platform can pass and graduate.

I am contemplating a move if I have failed P7 again (you try so many times that I think you start to miss the obvious)
I could potentially do P6 and P7? I have to pay for everything so have to take that into consideration.

Yes very stressful, especially now I am beginning to think there is some logic to it but we shall see.
June paper was ok I thought, like you I struggled with one question, question 5 but can never tell with this P7.
After all these events how confident are you?
Good luck to you as well.

Hi, if you have passed one of the optional papers, i don’t think you can attempt another 2 optional papers. For P6, i feel that the syllabus is more systematic and structured (i.e. at least you know what you are studying) as compared to P5 — which could get sidetracked or asked anything out of thin air. Of course, for P6, it depends on the country variant as well. Each country has its own tax policies and certain countries may have more complex tax structure than the others.
