    Please assist in finding the yield rate of 3% and 4% used by the examiner in the swap calculation.

    I must be missing something here.

    The examiner did not find them from anywhere 🙂

    Part (b)(i) of the question asks you to demonstrate that the interest does not change whether interest rates increase or decrease.
    So, he chose one higher interest rate and one lower interest rate, in order to demonstrate. You could have used different interest rates and ended up with the same net result.
