No, you don’t. It becomes clear whether or not you know what the value chain is when you answer the question . However, just for style you would probably make brief reference to what each part is. So:

    Inbound logistics

At Jayne Cox Direct inbound logistics relate to receiving and storing raw materials such as wood, upholstery and textiles and other raw materials. At Jayne Cox Direct there are documented problems with the e-mail purchase ordering system, which has led to the non-delivery of an expected order. High inventory levels are also commented on in the scenario and these need further investigation.

In procurement, why isn’t jcd benefitting from its suppliers?Having long established suppliers means, JCD will be valuable for them as it has worked with them since its first year.

A long relationship with a supplier can be a two-edged sword. Sure, the supplier knows what satisfies you, but youmight better quality/prices/service somewhere else. The supplier might be taking advantage of your loyalty.

Also, having a long-term supplier does not mean you are necessarily important to them: you might be a small, insignificant long-term buyer.

Hi! In a,procurement, why aren’t JCD benefiting from long establised suppliers? JCD have been purchasing their woods since its first year, which means JCD will be valueable to its suppliers.
