Hi John!
IN June 2009, for Oliver saloon, In the case study, it says that, ” the prices for female clients were not increased during the whole 20×8 and 20×9.”
– Why in calculating the answer for part (a), the same price has been used for female client for both years? ( that is $25 in both years)
– “the prices for female clients were not increased”, this could mean 2 thing:
1. either the price has stayed the same
OR
2. the price has deceased
Saying that it has not increased would always be taken to mean that it had stayed the same.
But how should I suppose to know that it always be taken to mean that it had stayed the same?
Because that is normal English usage!
