Hi John,
ACCA now have section B uploaded so wondering if you would be fabulous once again and put up your suggested answers when you have a chance.
As you might have seen, there has been some debate about the way to approach Q3, so you can put us all out of our misery!!
Thanks in advance,
Jenny

June 9, 2015 at 12:27 pm #255510Now that the ACCA has published the exam, I will prepare my suggested answers. They will be uploaded either later today or else tomorrow.
June 9, 2015 at 12:40 pm #255523Thanks in advance Mr. Moffat!
June 9, 2015 at 5:12 pm #255628No problem 🙂
June 9, 2015 at 5:18 pm #255641Regarding question 4a, do you not have to take off the issue costs from the 11.2m raised?
June 9, 2015 at 5:34 pm #255661I spent a long time thinking about that. Since it is based on a PE valuation then I think not (and the last time he asked this he did not subtract the issue costs).
I may be wrong – it will be interesting to see what the examiner does in his official answer – but if I am wrong then it will only lose half a mark (and if I am right, then subtracting it will only lose half a mark as well 🙂 )
So I am not too worried, but it is still a good point.
June 9, 2015 at 5:38 pm #255666Mr Moffat,
Bpp revision kit has question very similar to question 4, with the same wording, and they do deduct issue costs from cash raised :))June 9, 2015 at 5:42 pm #255676Maybe they do, but BPP are not perfect (ever).
I stand by what I wrote before (but it is only likely to be half a mark either way, anyway)
June 9, 2015 at 5:46 pm #255685Thank You anyways!
June 9, 2015 at 6:01 pm #255695You are welcome 🙂

June 9, 2015 at 6:13 pm #255709Hi John!
Where I can find suggested answers for F9 exam?Thank you in advance!
June 9, 2015 at 6:51 pm #255728Hi Mr. Moffat,
Provided that I have miscalculated in Q3 the factor’s interest charge, but have presented the cost/benefit analysis with the other numbers correct-still reaching a different recommendation- do you believe I will be able to score 4 marks?Thank you in advance.
adinaJune 10, 2015 at 7:19 am #255876I cannot say how many marks – it is impossible for me without actually seeing your paper.
However each bit of workings will be marked separately and so if everything else is OK then you should get enough marks.
