That was a bit weird.
I started with q5 then moved to Q1, then Q2 and started from Q2.c. Finished with 20 minutes for Q3.
yeah…no EVA, no ROI, no MR=MC, no transfer pricing, no NPV, no TQM…unusual.
Still believe in pass.

This exam was absolutely bojangles, where was everything that i have studied for months on end, now i am going to have to repeat this exam in Oz in December, i am currently in Ireland and emigrating soon, does anyone know if this is possible that i can change my exam centre to a different country? I am convinced my dad would have been able to answer that exam and a majority of the discursive questions, in hindsight a majority of the exam could have been answered with common sense but when you are in that hall that common sense quickly floats out the window and you still keep asking the questions where is ROI RI and EVA, heck where is Corporate failure. Weirdest exam i have ever sat.you can definitely sit the exams in another country. I used to sit in the UK and now in US. You can do this when you enter for your exams in Dec, but you might have to pay for additional fees as most international centres are special centres.
June 15, 2010 at 10:38 pm #63479guys what did you write about part C of VFM question i.e. Q 3?
June 16, 2010 at 9:55 am #63480Lol.. It was really damn easy paper, i had short time left at the end.
Paper didn’t meet any expectations, it merely required to keep on commenting.Calculation of Cost per consultation in 1st question was little technical but i guess i made a good attempt. I’ve almost attempted full paper, looking forward to achieve good. marks.
Thanks Natka, i am amazed how could you remember all the requirements.June 16, 2010 at 12:32 pm #63481AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

I personally thought this exam was horrid.
There was nothing in it which was “hot tipped” by Kaplan eg. Corporate Failure, NPV, ROI, RI etc and it was very discursive.
I messed up Activity Based Management comments and 3 reasons why Government set up Academy ??
This is my last ACCA exam and was hoping to be feeling confident now for the rest of Summer but just feel like I am going to have to resit it again in December.
Also last exam by current examiner which he obviously didnt put much imagination into so when resits come around it will be the first by new examiner so his style will be completely different – FANTASTIC !!!!!June 16, 2010 at 12:32 pm #63482AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

When P7 was over, I smiled and thought, “Only P5 is left, which means I am almost ACCA qualified, P5 is so easy to go”.
Maybe I was too confident, which lead me to failure…:( The first time when I am sure I failed. Though have never resit any paper…June 17, 2010 at 12:24 pm #63485AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

The papers are not difficult only if 4 hours are given to answer! Few big quality problems in this round paper setting.
– The requirements for most discursive questions are not clear by itself.
– Question 2 takes up too much time of candidates. I want the marks from calculation but is it worth trying?
– Did someone mentioned an error in question 2? I think so…June 21, 2010 at 8:49 am #63487I didnt dare answering probabilities..i knew it could take me years. But i wonder those who tacled it how dd u manage your time? But hey the exam, true, was full of noncalculative. I add up the my marks…am worried. paper was easy prima facie! But hey time.

hi all.to be honest, the paper was very fair.i think the key to passing this paper is just to read the text once and concentrate on your BPP exam kit,REASON;the examiner likes to pick from old questions and change them a bit.the number one question(7 marks)is somewhere in bpp kit.then that EV question too is in the kit, even though he changed the format.generally,if you check the past questions,u’ll see that the examiner is not so interested in alot of models in the syllabus….ive termed them “distractions”!!!!i think you should just read them but do not concentrate on them too much.i hope to get at least 50 but if it doesnt turn out good,i will happily write it again!!!
June 26, 2010 at 4:13 am #63489Where is the info coming from? eaminer will be changed in Decmber 2010?

I never did the F5. I was at the old syllabus of 2.4. So the P5 was rather awful for me. There is not much to write on. Even BPP text book have very little write up on some of the questions.
