such a big diff compared to F2 and F3…June 16, 2010 at 12:18 pm #62551Hi,
I am one of the biggest unlucky student of ACCA in this attempt.
F2 & F3 were exempted to me so i decided to attempt F1 & F7 in my ACCA 1st attempt…..
But both F1 & F7 were one of the tough exams in this attempt.
I will be lucky if i will pass in both…..
In F1, there were lot of different situations and a conceptual studies is required for it.
Although i were well prepared but when i started reading then i realized that i have not conceptual appraoch on F1 and examiner want to judge the ability in depth….Anyhow i am very diaappointed. But best of luck for all students…..
Its time to enjoy now till result came……… 🙂June 16, 2010 at 12:37 pm #62552Completely agree with Uid0191.
This exam was really not easy and left too many confusions about answers…
It was much more difficult then the pilot paper and F2 comparing to it really seems so easy 🙂
Well , let’s hope for the best. ..June 16, 2010 at 4:06 pm #62553Anyway exams are all over! taking a break b4 going for F4,F6,F7 🙂

This was my first attempt at ACCA F1 paper. It was ok. I do think that I did well, but we will see soon enough. I am all fired up and ready to start F2.
@ ali zia4u, I do agree there were lot of different situations and a conceptual studies required for this F1.June 17, 2010 at 5:13 pm #62555There were a lot of confusing questions…

Well,i agree wit u guys, lots of uncertain answers. It was more of scenarios than straight questions. The examiner wanted to make sure we really understood what we read.Best of luck anyway.

For me, F1 was the last paper I wrote after F4, F2 and F3. I felt I was
comletely prepared for the paper cos I had finished all the quetions in BBP
and KAPLAN and guessed that there could be nothing new. But when I saw the
paper F1, I was puzzled cos it was something else. I thought gosh, who are
the guys setting these questions, have they not run out of new questions?
Well I did my best and I hope to pass.June 29, 2010 at 10:50 pm #62574AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

i am very happy now this result beacuse i am new student in acca a
and hello avery oneJuly 1, 2010 at 12:42 pm #62576I need some help
Sitting F1 and F2 by Kaplan CBE Exams
I got the distance package
and well got the pocket notes for F1
it lists 12 chapters only in there
Are these the only topics in the Computer based exam?
Is there a relation to the pocket notes from Kaplan and the upcoming exam?
If so would it be wise to learn just of the pocket note and refer to those particular chapters in the pocket notes to the textbook?
Please let me know anyone would be grateful regardsSukhysd
July 1, 2010 at 1:06 pm #62577Can someone please give me some tips urgently!! Please!!
July 1, 2010 at 1:29 pm #62578Hey Sukhysd,
Well, I attempted F1 PBE , however I should let you know that those pass cards are absolutely not enough to pass the exam as I used them myself, specially I had to rely on them mostly at the end of my preparation as I was running out of time.
There are 12 chapters but they cover the same topics as the study text as in pass cards chapters are grouped. Like 3 chapters of study text are grouped into 1 chapter of pass cards.
However, I recommend you to study chapters related to microeconomis and accounting from study text , as the information contained in pass cards definately won’t be enough. Well and also because you will need those knowledge in further papers or maybe even professional life. And btw, just as a small advice, check all the relative abbrevations that you can find, e.g. PESTEL , SMART(EST), GAAP, FRC, SSAP ..etc …as it will be a pity to loose points cos of not knowing them.
And surely don’t forget to try demonstration CBE at accaglobal, pilot paper and examiner’s reports.
Those three are just a must to do !Good luck! 😉
