The exam wasn’t so specific in question 1 part a . The majority of us when planning to pass p3 depends on this part as it attain 20 to 25 marks .it was a lengthy senario pertain lots of info. I used pestle analysis combined with company strategic capabilities such as it’s unique resources and core competencies in line with company mission and culture. I ran out of time and had panic sice I spent 2 hours working on the first question! This left me with one hour to put all my knowledge in other 2 questions. Overall the exam was not logic in terms of senarios mentioned given that examiner leave us the choice to choose the model we want means a lot of time pressure to figure it ! Hope that I’ll got the passing rate:)
June 19, 2010 at 4:52 pm #64503I think this was a good paper, however with the time frame given I think it was very unrealistic for anyone to get pass question 1 the amount to read and digest and analyse it was ridiculous. However I am hoping for the best. Good luck to all of us

I used the 6Ms, pestel and swot for question1. I answered questions 2 and 4. I hope I will pass. There was too much irrelevant information and wasted time reading.
I only used open tuition slides and notes as well as kaplan notes. I used them my last sitting and passed all four subjects.June 26, 2010 at 4:07 am #64507I don’t know.
I hope God helps me like last time!June 26, 2010 at 4:08 am #64508I don’t know.

Hello
Can anyone tell me if P3 has much computational aspects to it? i am thinking of doing it homestudy. I normally do all “theory” papers eg F8/P1 at home but go to class for computational ones.
Like is it , say 50/50 or more 70/30 theory/computational??
A lot P3 seems to come from P1 – or am i wrong?
Tuition is soooo expensive thesedays
Many thanks
June 27, 2010 at 2:39 pm #64511Dear Willow,
I sat for P3 this time.It is a theory paper with maybe 10% Computational aspect that also ratios.
Therefore no need to join any classes.
I used GTG Text book. Its good.
P3 is different from P1 with only some parts overlapping.

Hie all
I think the exam was too long. Qn 1 was just too much. I wrote a lot of useless stuff and my work was not organised coz of time pressure. Most pple are not going to pass this exam.June 29, 2010 at 3:55 pm #64513Anonymous

question 1 was time consuming, lots of models to use, mainly was PESTEL, SWOT was also relevant.
question 2 was ok, i made an expensive mistake. part 4 i left it untouched.
question 3 was again ok, but due to time pressure, I didn’t managed to write everything i knew.i hope i get a 50.
best of luck to all
