Hi,
I don’t understand the meaning of this question. I think the question asks me to write on the possible impact on the performance management of the company. But the model answer, in my opinion, ignored it and answer it like it’s P3 question.
September 3, 2016 at 9:59 am #337248In response 1, the review of existing third-party manufacturers is being performed by a team from the procurement department. They have also considered the impact of moving all footwear sourcing to more strictly regulated environments. The results of this investigation are given in Appendix 3 and the board wants an evaluation of the qualitative and quantitative impact of this response.
(ii) Using the data in Appendix 3, assess the qualitative and quantitative impact on performance management at MS of response 1.
I think the question would have been better had it said “Using the data in Appendix 3, assess the qualitative and quantitative impact on performance at MS of response 1.” The answer discusses, as required, both quantitative and qualitative effects of response 1.
September 3, 2016 at 1:18 pm #337287I think I have tendency to think that I may have missed something important when reading questions because my first language is not english. To me I think “on performance management” is important in this question which led to to think that i should say something like “The switch may lead to increase in difficulty to do performance management work because ….”.
If this is what they really want then I have no idea how i can pass this question. So, is it safe to slightly modify the question to make it look like the usual question?
September 3, 2016 at 5:33 pm #337354In the exam you must answer the question set as best and as accurately you can. This might involve some interpretation of the examiner’s wishes, but usually the questions are accurately worded so don’t stray far from the requirements if you can avoid it.
For example, there have been questions on assessing performance reports. By this the examiner wants you to assess the layout and content of the report, not the performance of the company. If he had wanted that he would have asked you to assess the company’s performance.
