I am currently in Indonesia and nearly complete all modules of ACCA. I dream a day to work in Europe or Australia or USA. I want to ask are there may job opportunities for foreigners in such countries?. Is it difficult to get long-term work permit in such countries? If i excellent, do i have to pay a lot to get long-term work permit there?

    Hello Quytuan,

I am myself a Hungarian working in UK. There are employers who actually are looking for people like yourself (having finance knowledge and language skills) all over Europe. Try to search for companies who operate in your region too with head offices in your target regions – thus increasing your chances of getting hired and being sponsored.

Best bets are: Malta / UK / Germany / Belgium / Netherlands/ Luxemburg / Switzerland.

As long as you are good fit for the company, it should not be hard to get work permits as they would be supporting you throughout the application process.

Also, the cost of work permit could cost approx €100 maybe slightly more (based on the fee I had to pay 8 years ago + inflation, etc). Remember this is something you can google based on the country you wish to go.

    I hope this helped.

It will be more difficult for an Indonesian to find an accountancy job in the UK, unless you are a specialist and those with skills much needed in the UK (engineering, agricultural). An EU national will have no problem finding job in the UK. I think Australia might be a better bet. And once successful and you have the experience working there it may be easier to get in to UK.
