Can I get advice please. I work in a small company doing their accounts and wont be able to progress with my career here or get much of a pay increase. It is a brilliant company to work for, boss is soo good but its 30 miles away
I received news of a job offer assistant accountant for a global company, same pay, 4 miles away and they will pay to put me through my exams.
What do you think I should do?
I feel like I will be stupid not to take it. I have a 2 year old and I have to think of her and my careerIf I was you i’d take the job, those extra miles each day will eat into your study and family time. I’m sure you’d sooner spend more time with your little one than sitting in traffic.
Also the fuel you’ll be saving will also act as a nice little payrise.I think you should take it – mostly for the better progression but a shorter commute is valuable, especially with a young family.
