Hi,
I’m trying to practice this question but I’m getting stuck on where the answer got the figures for market value of equity.
I’m sure it’s really obvious but I can’t get my head around it!
Many thanks
The question tells you how many shares there are, and also tells you the share price.
So to get the total market value of equity you multiply the two together.
So for 2008, 5.5M x $8.64 = $47.52M
It was indeed obvious! Too much time spent worrying about it I think.
Thank you very much for your reply.
You are welcome 🙂
