Dear tutor,
For part (b), to calculate the controllable net profit for Export division, why wasn’t the other overheads added back?
I think the paragraph at the end of part (b) answer explains this. Thrre are difficulties but it would not be fair for the manager to enjoy the benefits of higher efficiency without bearing the costs.
