I am preparing to give my first ACCA Exam (MA) and wanted to be sure whether or not Casio FX-991ES is allowed.
also i have no idea whether or not this calculator has the ability to store text or not. So please help…
Welcome to our forums. It is not a programmable calculator and it cannot permanently store text (i.e. you can contrive to save formulae in it but would lose it as soon as you switch it off).
However, if an invigilator thinks it is programmable (whether sitting at a centre or remotely), you may be told you can’t use it – and then you will have to use the calculator in the exam software.
If you don’t have this calculator already, or are considering getting another one, I would recommend you get the Texas TI-30XS – so you become really familiar with it “day-to-day”.
Alright then, I will then buy the Casio FX-991ES as Texas TI-30XS isn’t available in my country. Thanks a bunch.
(P.S. I will be giving remote based exams)
