Sir, i had sit for the f4 paper in june 2011 and i failed.. so i decided i will take the f4 paper again in june 2012 using he same notes i used in for june 2011 exam f4 paper.. what do you recommend me sir, is there going to have big changes in syllabus in june 2012 compared to 2011 sylabus??
Hi. No, not big changes at all. In fact, I think the only change is the inclusion of The Bribery Act.

Apart from bribery act there should also be the inclusion of treasury shares……as per ACCA June 2012 Syllabus.
you’re correct – but I can’t think of a lot to say about treasury shares – I’m keeping my eye out for an article in Student Accountant.
As for the Bribery Act, there already is an article in Student Accountant

It sounds to me that you haven’t done enough! Or your exam technique is poor. What have your scores been? Have you listened to all the OT audio lectures? Have you attempted ( or, at least, planned ) all the questions in a reputable revision kit? Have you joined in any study groups for F4 during the last 18 months? In fact, what have you done in a serious effort to pass this paper? Because, believe me, success will not come your way without some major effort being input by you!

hello sir…i am goin to sit for f4 june 2012 exam,can i use the 2010 kaplan study text and download the changes to the syllabus from the student accountant? will that suffice or i will have to purchase a new study text for june 2012? i will be grateful to hear from you!! thank you…
Hi Zainab. Yes …… you can use 2010 text. It’s by no means ideal but, if you are so stuck for cash, it’s better than nothing. But make sure that you check out the changes since 2010. I cannot now remember changes which were effective in 2011 but the bits to be careful of for 2012 are treasury shares and, particularly, Bribery Act and corruption.

Keep working throught the revision kit – over and over and over and over again

F4 question
I would like to know two things
no.1 : bpp claims a public company must have 1 member in minimum where as lectures tell us the no. is 2, what is correct
no. 2 : bpp book says that promoters are agents , so whom agents they are or in what regard they are agentsWahab! This is the third time you have posted the same question! If it’s not answered the first time, leave it. I will get round to it. But asking it three times is just SO annoying, frustrating, a waste of time ( because I have to read it three times, even though I only need to answer it once.)
Please Wahab, in future, ask your question just once!
