Is the pilot paper meant to be an indicator of the actual exam’s difficulty level?

I’ve found that, of all the mock papers I’ve worked out so far, the pilot seems by far the easiest and most straightforward. Is it intended to be an indication of how difficult the actual paper will be?

Sir, I hope your not trying to get my hopes up the Pilot paper was easy but the subject doesn’t really seem that easy.. They can complicate it as much as they want.. 🙁
