    Dear invincible1,

    I guess your Kaplan book comprises of Study Text and Revision Kit, then it will be enough, opentuition course notes will also help you in your studies. Practice as many questions as possible, it will help.

    Good luck,
    Tammi

    wow, i sat my f3 last week and i hadn’t seen the course notes. i had no idea that they contained so many practice questions! I’m onto the f2 course notes, now for the last hour and I feel a lot better about sitting exam after studying these.

    I am yet to download the opentuition course note so not too sure about its authenticity. But there are many users in the forums who have mentioned that they have benefited from the course. So take your pick.

    Personally I think, Kaplan is best suited for all ACCA courses. Look upon Google and books published by Kaplan have got the best reviews.

    hi soicetheice,

    I have yet to try kaplan books. I have been using the 2012 emile woolf ebooks (only £4.99). not sure if i would recommend them because the new syllabus is not covered in the practice questions. also i have notice more than the usual editorial mistakes. what is a big deal killer for emile woolf books is you can not print them!!!

    regards reviews nowadays, these are all skewed as companies pay people to write positive reviews, from as little as 1c so as the old addage goes “only believe half of what you see and none of what you read”.
    see https://microworkers.com/ if you want a job writing paid reviews 🙂 .

    Just my 2c.

    many students have studied only with Opentuition notes and passed –
    But to get the most from the course notes, you have to watch all the free f2 lectures on the site. Use your study text for reference and more detail, after you covered the course notes/videos

    However, what is a must, you need up to date Revision Kit – because the number of practice questions is quite limited in the course notes.
    and practice as many past questions as you can

    Please Admin, I keep getting this message what is it for? See below:

    “In order for this site to work properly, and in order to evaluate and improve the site we need to store small files (called cookies) on your computer.
    Over 90% of all websites do this, however, since the 25th of May 2011 we are required by EU regulations to obtain your consent first. What do you say?”

    it is a new (actually 1 year old now) european directive. i must say, opentuition has one of the ugliest implementations for accepting cookies. it reloads page after accepting the message. opentuition is already slow enough, let alone having to reload the same content. also it is not sidewide so i find i am having to agree many times.

    finally. from what I understand, IT IS ONLY A DIRECTIVE. IT IS NOT A LAW. so it is unneccesary.

    @whitedog

    I do not like this either, when I find a better solution it will be here,
    in fact, it has changed already, not sure why you keep seeing it.. on my computer all browsers.. it just shows one time only, for the first time
    must be, because your PC is not accepting cookies haha, so browser does not remember..

    and from yesterday, it is the law, not just a directive, a quote from article about it,
    “if you are not compliant or visibly working towards compliance, you run the risk of enforcement action, which can include a fine of up to half a million pounds for a serious breach”

    @whitedog
    like any good government organisation, they still have no idea what they are doing.

    “Previously the ICO said that implied consent would be unlikely to work. Now it says that implied consent is a valid form of consent.”
