While i was working on example 10 & 11 of Ch 7 i noticed that Goodwill is calculated but doesnt appear on the Statement.
My question is why is that so and would there ever be a chance that it will be included in the Statement?
Example 10 – goodwill is negative so it is credited in full to the consolidated statement of profit or loss
Example 11 – it DOES appear in the answer to example 11! What do you think $99,500 INCA is?
Owh!! Thank you Mike.. didnt get why the name ‘goodwill’ just disappeared on me.
