Is it possible to pass P2 without reference to all the different models mentioned in study texs

Quick question? I was wondering whether anybody has passed P2 using their own knowledge and applying real world solutions to scenarios encountered in exam situations?

I ask this as I have been doing accounting work for a while and have not come across many of the ideologies proposed in the exam texts applied to real life situations1

I would like a response from both students but preferably the moderator or an examiner as I am in my final stages of exam preparation for next week and this came to my mind whilst studying.
