Hey all, I am in need of some urgent help please.

My situation at the moment is that I have passed all the F modules except for F3, F7 & F8.

I think it would be mad to try to pass F7 without passing F3 first because F7 is a big step up from F3.

My plan is to take F3 & F8 together, but you do need to use knowledge from F7 in the F8 exam. What do you guys recommend? Especially those who have passed the above mentioned exams. How much knowledge from F3 and F7 is needed for F8? Is it wise to take F3 & F8 together?

I would really appreciate any advice given as soon as possible, since the first class for F8 is on Monday 12th March, and I’d need to book it on Sunday the 11th (tomorrow!!). I’ve left it late so it’s my fault really.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

it’s interesting how u managed to cover skills level without finishing with knowledge level. Either u were exempted or u failed F3 already ..hmm
but anyway 🙂 going back to your question.

F8 is somehow related to F7 that’s true, as the job of auditor is to audit Financial statements and preparation of financial statements is covered in F7.
However, you dont’ need to be proficient in F7 to pass F8.
So it’s okay to take F8 first. And you will have to take F3 together with it, u don’t have other choice anyway 🙂

Just prepare F8 is a really tricky paper. When u study it, it might seem boring, when u sit exam , it might seem easy and when u get results, u might easily get fail and not even once 🙂
So prepare really well for F8.

    Good luck.

Thanks for your quick reply ansi.

I’ve never attempted the F3 exam yet, and I’ve always planned to study it myself and take the exam, but I’ve kept being lazy. Now if I want to take two modules in this session, it’ll have to be F3 and F7/F8.

I think it’s best to go for the F3 & F8 combo. It’ll be a challenge, but hey, that’s why we do it.

I’ll just have to put the extra effort in. Thanks again.

If anybody else wants to give their opinion they are welcome to do so.
