Hello, I have BPP F5 2017 Textbook, is it ok to prepare for PM June 2024 Exam with this textbook?
March 1, 2024 at 7:52 am #701522It’s better to have a more recent copy but it will be fine if you are familiar with what had changed in the syllabus since then.
Why are you asking when the exam is next week?Syllabus 2017/

Thank you for answering my question.

I panicked….didn’t I ;0-)If you take the time to look at the differences. There have been a few little changes over the last few years to be honest with you.
March 1, 2024 at 8:46 am #701531No problem Sir. Thank you for your prompt response.
Actually, I have been struggling with this paper since long time now, this is the only paper remaining to clear from my entire ACCA qualification.
I have seen that there are some additional topics included in the new Syllabus, but to be honest, they don’t seem to be few !!!!
Any advice to clear this paper??
March 1, 2024 at 12:59 pm #701561I would start to look at the syllabus areas
Each exam will aim for approximately 50 per cent of the marks for calculations and 50 per cent for discussion but may go as far as 40:60 either way.
The two 20 mark questions will come predominately from decision-making techniques, budgeting and control and/or performance measurement and control areas of the syllabus.
Sections C , D , E …………………….but could also include A & B in a smaller way.The section A questions and the questions in section B can cover any areas of the syllabus.
March 1, 2024 at 1:11 pm #701563Personally I would buy new material
All new section
A
Management information systems
and data analytics
1. Management information systems
2. Uses and control of information
3. Big data and data analyticsB was section A
But does include sustainability factorsC was B Decision-making techniques – small changes

E was D
This has changed quite a lot and includes
1 Performance management information
systems
2. Sources of management information
3. Management reports
4. Performance analysis in private sector
organisations
5. Divisional performance and transfer pricing
6. Performance analysis in not-for-profit
