Hello, after two years’ struggling, I decided to go back to my ACCA study and will take exam in March this year.

I have been self-studying half way the Jun 15 version text book by BPP. I suddenly realised that as the format of the exam has been changed, have the contents of F5 also been changed a lot? Can I still keep using 2015 study text as my main study material? If there is any new syllabus, where can I find them on OpenTuition?

    Any advice is appreciated.

If you are watching my free lectures on here, then they cover everything in the current syllabus that is needed to be able to pass the exam well – you do not really need a Study Text. Our lectures are always updated for the current syllabus.

What you really must buy is a current edition of a Revision Kit. They contain lots of exam standard questions in the current exam format, and question practice is vital to passing the exam.

Thank you very much for replying back. I have limited access to Internet and that is why I prefer a hardcopy. Do the F5 notes cover your lectures? If so, I can print off the notes which obviously is cheaper than a book, watch video on line as needed, and buy a revision kit.

The notes do tie in with the lectures, but they are only notes – it is in the lectures that I explain and expand on the notes. It is important to watch the lectures as well as use the notes.
If you are not able to watch the lectures, then it really does mean buying a current edition of a Study Text and to study from there.

(If you have more questions that you want me to answer, then please ask them in the Ask the Tutor Forum. This forum is for students to help each other, and I do not always see questions here 🙂 )
