Background: Passed P1, P2 from my first attempts with 3 months preparation for P2 (In June 2017) and around 45 days preparation for P1 (In September 2017).
I did not plan to only have 45 days to prepare for P3, but going for vacation and working full time have left me with 45 days.
My plan is to watch Opentuition lectures, and use Kaplan Exam kit to practice questions.
Do you think I can nail P3 in December ?
Thanks in advance.
November 4, 2017 at 9:08 am #414267Hi,
The answer is definitely yes for P3. I only had less than 4 weekends to prepare for it and assumed I would fail but decided to take the exam anyway as I had paid for it. But I passed. My advice is to practise past exam papers and make sure you APPLY the knowledge to the scenario. You really can’t go wrong if you let the scenario guide you.
I have only just started my P2 for Dec17 exam. Do you think I have any chance at all?
I have also booked my day off from work for March 18 resit for P2:))Good luck with your revision. You still can do it for P3.

Thankfully for p3 I’m starting to get hold of my question answering technique, but I still have some knowledge areas to cover. I’m hoping I can have time to practice enough questions.
My P2 experience was as follows, I started reading Kaplan study text and then I stopped studying for personal circumstances. When I resumed preparing I had about just over a month left and I had to throw away the study text, started watching OT lecture videos’ make my own notes, and practicing questions, mainly focusing on q1. With one week left all I’ve done was attempting full exams and reviewing my notes. I passed with doing q1 and 2, leaving q3 blank.
So the same applies for P2, practice, practice, practice. Try to attempt questions everday and revise the standards. You should be fine !
Best of luck
November 5, 2017 at 10:30 pm #414507Thank you for your advice too.I am currently trying to get through all the OT lectures before starting to practise.
I will keep my fingers crossed for us both.
All the best for December.
January 23, 2018 at 7:29 am #432285oneel11 how did you get on with P3? I too have limited time for studying
January 23, 2018 at 8:23 pm #432516Thankfully I passed with 53 marks. The reason I only got 53 was because I’m always 1 or half a question short. I need to work on my time management.
As for P3 all you need of focus on is doing past papers and try to get hold of how the examiner answers the question in the model answers. Remember you are not expected to replicate the examiner’s answer. I suggest understanding the question, read the model answer, and then try to write it in your own words without looking at the past paper. Plus you need to cover all the knowledge areas of course.
So it’s not about how much time you have, but it’s about how efficient you are.
Bottom line, P3 is very doable and you can prepare for it in limited time.
I hope this helps and good luck !
January 24, 2018 at 4:44 pm #432692Although I went for weekly lectures, I did no preparation until 1 week before due to work. Everyday all I did was study the textbook on the 40mins train to/fro work, and just 3 hours before exams. Probably 10 hours or less in total after considering I had a lot of distractions in a public train.

I have started at the questions at the weekend and understand what you mean about common sense and adding value.
Fingers crossed 🙂
February 5, 2018 at 6:50 am #435174Guys starting P3 studies for March 2018 Exams,can this be done,kindly advise.
February 5, 2018 at 7:31 am #435181@blossom2012 Yes yes yes ! It can be done.
If I started studying for P7 just about three days ago and I think I can do it, I don’t see why you can’t do P3 as well. Put in good amount of work, and as you could read from this thread, practice is the key.
Extra Tip: Always visualize yourself passing the paper, and work towards achieving that visualization. It always works for me.
Just go for it!!
