sir I am confused on motor expenses which is partly used for private uses. in some question I see the input vat is recoverable and is deducted from output vat whereas in some question vat is not recoverable.

All the input VAT will be recovered so long as the scale charge based on CO2 emissions is then treated as output VAT on the VAT Return.
